The Maryland Butterfly Club started in Fall 1995. It is a chapter of the North American Butterfly Association, the Checkerspot Chapter. Anyone interested in Butterfly watching, rearing, gardening, or photography is invited to attend trips and meetings. Contact is Lisa Bierer-Garrett at w (301) 297-4575.

LOOKING FOR OFFICERS LOOKING FOR TRIP LEADERS

We are planning spring trips around the area. If you are interested in leading or having folks come butterflying with you please contact me.

We are also planning trips with the WABC.

The Chapter will need a good treasurer and a Vice-President if we are to get going. Please come to the next meeting if you can give a bit of time.

HERB SOCIETY HOSTS PROGRAM ON BUTTERFLY GARDENING

June 26 at 7:30, I will present a program on butterfly gardening, and helpful herbs to plant to attract hummingbirds.

This program is sponsored by the Prince George's Co. Herb Society and will be held at watkins Nature Center, Largo, MD. Call (301) 249-6202 for more info.
