The Butterfly WebSite is sponsoring two mailing lists to people
who love butterflies and want to learn more about these beautiful
critters. There are no charges for these services. However, you
must be a member of the International Butterfly Breeders Association
to join the second list.
To join the Butterfly Family Mailing List, you simply address an
email to a specific address, and your message is automatically sent
to all members of the list.
- The Butterfly Family Mailing List
- This list is intended for folks who are interested in raising
butterflies as a hobby, as a way to enrich your garden, or as
a commercial butterfly farmer. Before joining this list, if you
want to find out "how do I get started farming butterflies,"

- The International Butterfly Breeders Association
(IBBA) Mailing List
- This list is for members of the IBBA. Full details HERE.
Real-Time or Digest Messages?
For the Butterfly Family List, you have the following options for receiving messages:
- Real-Time Mode: you'll receive each message by email a few minutes after
it is posted
- Digest Mode: you'll receive a single email message overnight, made up of all the
messages that have been posted for that day
Joining or Leaving the Lists
To join or quit a list, simply click the appropriate link below.
An email window will open; please do not change
the subject line; click SEND.
When you are entering your email address, please follow these
rules:
Make sure your email address is complete. It must consist of your
user name, the '@' sign, and a domain name. For example, 'joesmith@aol.com'
is a valid address, but 'joesmith' is not.
Make sure it is your true email address. When you send an email
to someone, the 'from' field in the email is your true email address.
When you send an email to the mailing list, this 'from' field is
checked against the email you entered when you signed onto the list.
You can write to the list only if your email address on the list
matches the 'from' address. A problem arises if your email is being
forwarded from a forwarding address (for example, info@joesmith.com
might be forwarded to joesmith@aol.com; if 'info@joesmith.com' is
entered as the mailing list address, Joe Smith will receive mail
from the list, but will not be able to write to the list).
