Dr. Lincoln Brower, Distinguished Service Professor in the Department of Zoology at the University of Florida, is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable scientists in the field of Monarch butterfly research. Lincoln has given generously of his time and counsel in support of this project. He has contributed to the development of this web page and he has made the vital arrangement with the University of Florida Foundation to ensure that contributions are tax exempt. Working with Lincoln has been a great experience and one which I will never forget. I look forward to working with him in the future as he continues his efforts of the past twenty years to protect the overwintering sites in Mexico.

I also want to express my appreciation to Jack Mikula of The Butterfly WebSite. In August of 1996, as I was groping for a way to make things happen, Jack offered his assistance in working up a web page and including it in the Butterfly Site. Neil Weininger has demonstrated his web page technical knowledge and skills in its preparation and revision. My thanks to both Jack and Neil, their assistance has been invaluable.

I have already described the support and commitment Lincoln Brower has given to the project and to this web page. Working with Lincoln has been a great experience and one which I will never forget. I look forward to working with him in protecting the overwintering sites.
